Why we do what we do...
Why we do what we do...
On April 28th, 2021 Samuel Risso lost his life in a tragic act of senseless violence. A few weeks before his death, Risso expressed his interest in starting his non-profit organization. He believed that he would be able to help so many more people if he had the support of people, like you.
Sam dedicated several years of his life to helping others who are struggling with substance use, homelessness, mental illness, or anyone who expressed the desire to live a better life.
Today, we can say we have fulfilled Samuels's wishes and have a thriving recovery community here at Risso’s Respite, and the best is yet to come!
